Lexington Democratic Club Executive Committee pass resolution condemning the anti-Biden bias of The New York Times

On April 30, 2024, the Lexington Democratic Club Executive Committee passed a resolution condemning the anti-Biden bias of The New York Times.

RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, President Biden has been an extraordinarily effective president in a period of momentous significance for the United States of America.

President Biden has protected and defended democracy at home by prosecuting and imprisoning hundreds of insurrectionists and criminals who attacked the United States Capitol on January 6, 2021 and schemed to advance fake electors during the last presidential election cycle for the purpose of thwarting the will of the American people and overthrowing the United States government.

President Biden has protected and defended democracy abroad by rallying the world to defend Ukraine’s sovereignty against the illegal invasion by the anti-democratic Russian regime.

President Biden has rebuilt the United States economy following the COVID pandemic and created record numbers of new jobs, massively expanded domestic manufacturing, made transformational investments in infrastructure and the green economy, tamed inflation, and propelled the stock market to all time highs.

President Biden has shown himself to be a patriot who at all times seeks to do what is best for the United States of America.  President Biden has restored dignity, respect for the rule of law, order and wisdom to the Office of the President after four years of unpatriotic, obscene, illegal, chaotic and idiotic behavior by his predecessor.

WHEREAS, The New York Times has refused to report the facts about President Biden’s patriotism, moral leadership and extraordinary accomplishments.

WHEREAS, The New York Times has excessively published articles relating to President Biden that are irrelevant to the conduct of his job, including articles about the president’s age.  Indeed, the excessive number of meaningless articles has misled readers and prevented them from learning about the President’s tremendous accomplishments and the overwhelmingly positive state of affairs in the United States under his leadership.

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Lexington Democratic Club urges The New York Times to adhere to its own pledge “to give the news impartially, without fear or favor, regardless of party, sect, or interests involved” and stop promoting a negative and defeatist narrative about President Biden and the United States of America that is contrary to the facts and reality.  Until The New York Times starts reporting factual, relevant information about the President and his accomplishments, the Lexington Democratic Club urges its members to read the paper’s political articles with extreme suspicion and seek alternative political news sources that are un-biased and more reliable so that their political thoughts, judgments and actions are based on truthful, accurate reporting.  Further, the Lexington Democratic Club encourages its members and all well-meaning, patriotic Americans to contact management and journalists at The New York Times to criticize the paper’s extreme bias in opposition to President Biden.
